Associate, ANTHONY CHALIFOUX represents individuals and business entities in a wide variety of general civil litigation areas and transactions with an enthusiasm for intellectual property law.  Mr. Chalifoux is currently dedicated to pursuing the objectives of the firm’s clients in matters including:

  • The defense of developers, property owners, and general contractors against claims alleging violation of the SB 800 performance standards.
  • Most recently, obtaining a dismissal and recovered costs for a developer in a lawsuit alleging breach of contract, fraudulent concealment, negligent misrepresentation, and intentional misrepresentation arising out of construction defect allegations.
  • Drafting, review, and negotiation of complex business agreements rooted in specialized topics such as trade secret protection, intellectual property licensing, and equine interstate transportation.
  • Enforcement of judgments, utilizing available lien and surety bond claim procedures.
  • Advancing a breach of contract action for a small business enterprise against a municipality.
  • Representation of a distributor in a strict products liability action for defective design and failure to warn.

Additionally, Mr. Chalifoux has expanded his advocacy and ability to advise clients by developing course outlines and well-received presentations on dynamic subjects related to construction defect litigation, including risk analysis, indemnification, and Senate Bill 800 issues.  Originally from Massachusetts, Mr. Chalifoux is thankful for the opportunity to practice in San Diego.
